Best Cold Press Juicer 2021
Cold press juicers are trending, but why all the buzz? Here’s everything you need to know.
What Is A Cold Press Juicer?
You might be familiar with old-school juicing machines that use a blade and centrifugal motion. If you’ve always been puzzled humming Faith Hill’s “This Kiss,” centrifugal force spins circularly. There are two types of cold press juicer, one type is faster and uses centrifugal force and the other type is called a ‘slow juicer’ which uses an auger type bit to more slowly press the juice out of your produce.
A cold press juicer crushes and squeezes, preserving more nutrients and more volume. Cold press juicers are also called masticating juicers. Mastication is a fancy word for chewing, but you let a machine do all the work.
We’ve defined how they work, but now let’s take a look at the best cold press juicers of 2021.
The Best Cold Press Juicer Review
1. Hurom HP Slow Juicer – Best Personal Juicer
If you’re juicing for one, or one at a time, a smaller juicer might be the best fit. You save counter space and, if you’re like me, you waste less juice. I can only drink so much before it expires or I need a new flavor.
What I love about this one is that it’s powerful enough to also handle nuts and will make a great almond or other nut milk.
Features Roundup:
- Capacity: 12 oz.
- Included: large & small cleaning brushes
- Can do juices and nut milk
- Easy assembly
- Quiet

The Breville XL or Breville Plus juices in volumes, and its seal-and-store jug contains 70 oz. The only drawback to the Breville cold press juicer is the loss of counter space. It has a 13″ x 8.6″ footprint and stands 17.64″ in height. But, if you have the space and are looking for a juicer that

3. Aicook AMR509 Slow Masticating Juicer – Best for a Budget
The Aicock Slow Masticating Juicer is a simple choice if you’re new to juicers or want something basic without breaking the bank. It yields high for greens, but you can’t crush harder ingredients, like nuts.
At this point you might be wondering what a ‘slow juicer’ is. Essentially the difference is between a ‘centrifugal’ juicer which works very quickly to get juice into your glass but it can heat up a bit due to the speed resulting in a loss of some nutrients. So, a slow juicer is your best bet if you want to make sure to retain every bit of goodness. However, one downside of this is that if you’re juicing a lot of carrots you’ll want a more powerful juicer. This one is better suited for juicing greens.
Cold press juicers are not cheap but this is good if you just want to try one out without breaking the bank!
Features Roundup:
- Capacity: 20 0z.
- Comes in some awesome color options: hot orange, matcha green, ivory white and black
- Dishwasher safe

The Overall Best
After reviewing several cold press juicers, the watch-for qualities are versatility, easy cleaning, and easy preparation.
Personally, I really like the Hurom Juicer. The fact that it’s powerful enough to make nut milk and I can toss in whole ingrediants makes it the winner for me. It’s not the biggest but I like to drink my juice freshly pressed to ensure all the nutrients don’t ‘age’ in the fridge. But hey, that’s just me, and if you’re juicing for a family then I’d definately say to go for the Breville due to its massive capacity.
That’s not to say the others are not good, they are and they do the job well. The cheapest of the list isn’t the most durable but I would say it’s the best if you are just getting into juicing and don’t want to drop a huge amount on one of the top of the line options.
So which cold press juicer won you over? Whether you’re sipping by yourself or serving a small platoon, your new cold press juicer is a valuable kitchen tool.
